What a great start to our July 4th weekend... great weather, super
Boat Parade & Dock Decorations, and everyone seems to be having such a terrific time.
I made many more photos than I’d planned, and will begin posting more later tonight and tomorrow.

(So far) FIVE lake fans have stepped up and offered to serve as regular contributors to this site. We could easily accommodate MANY more but five is inspiring and very encouraging. Here are some random suggestions for contributors: Tips about how to fish the lake // Stories or portrait profiles about lake citizens (like Beverly Blackshear's example) // Facts Page editors: to update changing facts & add new // Stories about anything that interests you (maps, history, hobbies). Writing for the site is a great excuse to ask people questions! And PHOTO contributions -- ALWAYS appreciated (and we can fix 'em up too!) // Editor/Writer(s) to help other contributors tidy up articles before posting // Recruitment: inspire friends and neighbors to contribute too!

We want to post stories & biographies about our history and our long-time residents, and have one sample completed. Beverly Blackshear (age 95) has written a short history to accompany some of her wonderful photographs—and we hope that her words will inspire more of you to follow her example. Our community is full of full of colorful characters, and we'd love to fill this site with their stories.Join our discussions

People who are away from the lake want to hear about the conditions, and for some
this site is the only source of news specific to Kingsley Lake.
