July 3rd - July “4th” events

Since the 4th falls on a Sunday this year, when some have to pack up and head home, the main Kingsley Lake celebration activities will take place on Saturday the 3rd, sponsored by the property owners association. All events are OPEN to EVERYONE.

The traditional Boat Parade will begin at 'Old Strickland's' at 11:30 am Saturday.

The 5pm Saturday Social Hour, 6pm BBQ Picnic Dinner, and 7pm dance, plus the Fireworks Display(s) at 9pm make up the wonderful evening events, and are a great time to see old friends and meet some of our brand new residents. I plan to go, and would love to see a HUGE crowd. Times have been tough, and the economy has affected all of us. So we DESERVE a good party! Don't you agree!? And honoring our military and the founding of this nation is a perfect excuse to get together and celebrate with our community.

Tickets, due to Blanding security requirements, must be purchased in advance at the Civic Center on Saturday mornings this month, or by phone 533-2325, or email. Cost is $8 per person, kids under 5 are free.

Honoring our military for all their service and sacrifice, will be the focus and theme of these July 3rd/4th events. The dinner will be catered by Grouper Gregg's. More details may be posted as the time draws closer. Again, all events are open to EVERYONE, and all lake residents, renters and guests are encouraged to participate.

July 4th, Sunday, 9:30 am

Kingsley Lake Baptist Church - Patriotic Service
Special music by the Choir, flag observation, historical figure outlook, and Rev. Tommy Watson will preach. Everyone is welcome - casual dress ok. Call the church office for more information 533-2018.
